Invitation to Participate;
Working Group on Mandatory Recycling Amenities in Multi-Family and Commercial Building
You’re invited to join a new short-term working group that will guide the development of a regional model to set minimum standards for recycling amenities in multi-family and commercial buildings and developments.
Members will include municipalities (development permitting, business licensing, recycling, fire prevention), recyclable material haulers, resident and business associations, building managers, developers, and professional associations.

o Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm
We need your input to develop a strategy that is consistent throughout the region.
Please call to discuss concerns and ideas, if you cannot attend the session.
As a working group member, you will be closely involved in drafting a regional model, including regulations, programs, and forms. We will need your participation at the following consultation sessions:
o October7th o weeks of November 8th and 22nd, as well as,
o lateDecemberorearlyJanuary.
Additional stakeholders will be surveyed about issues identified by the working group. They will review the proposed model in November 2009.
