The plaque at the Stanley Park Flower Garden has been installed. The plaque acknowledges the founding of the garden in September 2003 as a joint effort of WERA, the Stanley Park Ecology Society and the Vancouver Park Board.

The Stanley Park Community Flower Garden and Native Plant Demonstration Garden has opened. The opening ceremonies took place on a beautiful sunny day on the last full day of Summer, September 20, 2003. Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors (City of Vancouver Parks Board, Society Promoting Environmental Conservation, Labatts, Real Estate Foundation of BC). Watch this space for more news and announcements as the garden grows! The Garden is a joint project of the West End Residents Association and the Stanley Park Ecology Society.
