What:
“Neighbourhood Chat on West End Rezoning (1401 Comox)”

When:
3 pm on Sunday, Feb 7 (rain or shine) for approximately 30 minutes

Where:
In front of St John’s Church at 1401 Comox Street (corner of Broughton and Comox), beside the big yellow rezoning sign.

Details:
This is a little get-together for neighbours to share information, build awareness and involvement, and talk about the need for an up-to-date community plan before radical rezoning happens before our eyes. It will be brief, family-oriented, light but meaningful, and easy to join without taking up a lot of precious personal/family time. You’ll hear about the potential to create a new community vision, as well as proposed rezonings for a 22-storey tower at 1401 Comox (in process), a 21-storey tower at 1215 Bidwell (rezoning approved already), and a 20-plus storey tower at 1600 Beach, all under Vancouver’s new Short Term Incentives for Rental (STIR) program which provides large subsidies to developers to build market-priced rentals while not contributing to community amenities.
